Hey guys, im trying to decide between the two. The Elemental Designs 13Kv3 and the Sound Splinter Rl-i 10. I understand that the sizes are different, but I have always wanted a Sound Splinter sub. This will be going in my extended cab silverado. A JBL 1200.1 will be powering the pair in a sealed sub box. I listen to alot of rock such as Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, ect... I listen to some rap aswell. Im looking to hit some lows. I guess 60/40 on sq/spl. I want it to be loud.

rl-i all the way, IMO it better than the O's and for sure the K's. Had All three sub before, The Ed subs are nice but the SPL isnt just there at all. Very easy to drive the ed to its limits. I say get a tc 10 oem or a tc 9 much cheaper and much more durable

You all know if Sound Splinter makes an Rl-i 12 anymore?
you can check on tc's forum I think someone sells the 12tc2+ which just like the 12 rl-i. I have 2 and love them, or you can always go for the tc1000. i've had th12a, 15ae, 16ov2, and 16kv2, all have blown on less than rated power with the gains down, ended up paying ED around $500 and nothing to show for it. I've had these 12tc2+ and they sound better, hit harder and get lower than the kv2 and ov2, didn't get as loud as the A but almost as low, but sounded way better, and that is my honest opinion and has nothing to do with my feelings about ed/ben

All my ed subs blew, they rate more power on there site then what the sub can actually take. Then they say that it was users fault. Not so much an ED fan anymore

Ive had good luck with my ed purchases, and id think the extra displacement from the 13k would help quite a bit in the overall output part of the comparison...

but ive never used the rl-i

So you guys think im on the right track here? Another option I was thinking was a Diamond Audio D6 12. I think I can squeeze it in. I have a max of 7 inches mounting depth and those subs are 6.2 inches.

Remember, these will be going in a .92 (each) cubic foot sealed box in an extended cab truck. I want it to thump.
