ED13Kv3 vs. SS Rl-i 10

I've been running a 13Ov2 off of 900 watts plus for well over a year, and I crank it pretty high on a regular basis. Not once have I ever heard any sign of the sub not taking the power, or any type of bottom out.

Like many people say here, it's all in the install. The one thing I've seen a lot of with eD subs is improper setting of SSFs in ported boxes, causing the sub to implode when the abuser tries to play a 20hz note on a box tuned to 38. This IS user error, not a problem with speaker design or bad customer service.

well my woofers we're in the box that ED built for me, with 800 wrms on the 16ov.2, 400 on the 16kv.2 all in sealed enclosures to ed specs. not to mention all the gains just about all the way down. Your lucky that you've had good luck, but I think when talking about ED thats exactly what it is LUCK. Plus BEN always tries to get you to pay more money out of pocket In my expereinces with him, plus they change their stories when something goes wrong. Example, b4 I paid $170 for another replacement of the 16ov.2 that they said wasn't covered ben stated yeah you can put 1000 watts easy, So i put 800 and it blows again. I've had 5 years expereince with them so I know what its all about ever since they had the flat cone 12A

Ive had good luck with my ed purchases, and id think the extra displacement from the 13k would help quite a bit in the overall output part of the comparison...
but ive never used the rl-i
Well when I compared my 12tc2+ which is the 12 rl-i just about, it got lower and sounded alot better than the 16ov.2, with that said i'd say for SQ the rl-i would be better, but a 12 vs. a 10 the 12 will be louder

rl-i all the way, IMO it better than the O's and for sure the K's. Had All three sub before, The Ed subs are nice but the SPL isnt just there at all. Very easy to drive the ed to its limits. I say get a tc 10 oem or a tc 9 much cheaper and much more durable
well yeah, its not a spl sub, its a sq sub. mines is setup great, its the perfect blend of sq with a extra umph to it.

yup, my box is tuned to 32hz, and i try to not turn it up all the way with the super low notes, because it will bottom out. but any thing else it rocks hard. i will be sure to post some more video clips.

Well now I am leaning towards the TC2+ 12's. Hopefully they are in my price range and will have the umph that I am looking for in a sealed enclosure and can handle 600 rms a piece

x2 on that, had first hand experience with that. Sub blew sent it out , said it was my fault wanted me to pay for shipping both ways and for a rebuilt, all that wasnt worth it since it costed me more than to buy one of there weak *** subs. Basically there warranty is useless and sux *** if imma have to pull money out of my pocket anyways. BEN PLEASE STAND BY YOUR WORD ON THE 5 YEAR WARRANTY!!!!

TC2+ are great subs and it pounds, got mine for $60 used
