that is why i asked here. I would rather hear some good comments from some haters than go over there where people worship the stuff.

I know the company is shady. If the products work great, that is what i am worried about the most.

Yes, you said you knew. You also said it was in the past. So, clearly you dont know, and you do not want to know. You just want to purchase their products with no feelings of guilt. Too bad. Like someone said above, how would we mention the SQ10 without mentioning it was a stolen design? I bought my e12a.22 in the summer of 2003, and it's been playing ever since without an issue...

They still will never get another dime of my money.

I am not really concerned about what they did in the past, and i have read about it a ton. I have found that no company is perfect. TC never answers emails, FI doesn't answer emails quickly, and has had some problems with communication, and i am sure some others have had too. Now i am not comparing that to the problems of ED, but i really don't care that much about the people, just the products.

i know sometimes they are hard to get ahold of, but scott especially i will personally vouch for. he gave me his personal cell to call him on to order just a recone kit and has been extremely professional about dealing with me. i know theres the fi boner still going on but its for a reason. scott makes an incredible product at a great price and delivers the best customer service there is and in my opinion, there is no company better than that.

fi has a loyal customer in me simply because of scott's willingness to make me feel like the only customer he has

not dogging FI. I have just been frustrated with emails and answers on the forum that i have been waiting for for a long time. Their problems don't compare in the least to ED's probs, i was just saying that even the "Almighty FI" (as people see them here) are not even perfect.

Well most know me as a ED fanboi lol. But i had nothing success with their products, and always impressed. All though audioholic sounds like he is mean, he is really not. If anything, he knows more about ED than anyone.

I just heard about ED a year ago, and ever since then, me and my brother in law made huge purchases, and they see that. Thats why at times customer service will go that extra step to make you happy.

All in all, great products at a awesome price, and free shipping with a 5 year warranty, whats not to like.

I'm still wondering why, after being one of the first members to transition over to ICIX in '04, I'm suddenly blocked from viewing the eD subforums.

I guess they don't want eD owners to go there.

where can you get the OV series for 100 bucks? did i miss something? I would be all over that. They are very articulate drivers. I measured the specs on the 11kv.3's i had and all of them were very close to rated params, (i can't test xmax of course because i don't have a klippel lol). They were very articulate drivers, but probably would have sounded better ported and i had them in small sealed enclosures. They didn't make any strange motor noises except for the bad driver i got (which they replaced within 1 week for free, even payed for return shipping). I kinda know ben from a different forum and while I dont trust his previous business practices, he is a decent guy most of the time.

Again i dont agree with anything they did to anyone, but that is a convo for another thread, their products seem top notch, and recently their customer service matches it.

If that's a discussion for another thread, leave it out of this one. Or, do you really think we would let you come in here, tell us not to say anything bad about their service or record or practices because this isnt the thread for it, then close your post with how great their service has become lately?
Dont turn your back on good old Ben or eD, they'd probably lift your wallet right out of your pocket. They have shown time and again they have no problem doing underhanded things, borderline illegal things, in order to maintain or advance their position in the market (iow, to make themselves cash). A guy or two coming on the boards once ina while claiming their problems are all ancient history, and they are just spiffy these days, doesn't change the spots on that leopard. Anyone who thinks otherwise, is only fooling themselves. Or, has eD/Ben shown that they accept responsibility for ANY of the crap they have pulled in the past? No, they do not. They show ZERO responsibility, and ZERO guilt... but oh hey you had good service when you ordered a speaker from them, they must have really turned themselves around, right?

Come on guys, quit letting those shysters pull the wool over your eyes. Smarten up a little for god's sake.
