ED subs based on products ALONE (not Ben)

Ok, everytime people ask about ED, or i search any ED question it always turns into ED bashing because of business practices, etc.

I am not really concerned about what they did in the past, and i have read about it a ton. I have found that no company is perfect. TC never answers emails, FI doesn't answer emails quickly, and has had some problems with communication, and i am sure some others have had too. Now i am not comparing that to the problems of ED, but i really don't care that much about the people, just the products.

With that said, i have owned a few ED subs, and i have been very happy with them for the money i paid for them:

e12k (blue E cone) -$25

13Ov.2 -$25

13ov.2 -$30

The thing is, is that everyone loves ID, and everyone hates ED, but the current K and O were originally designed and built by ID. I am quite impressed with the performance of my 13Ov.2 compared to my RLp in the same box, car, and with the same power. It is more efficient, sounds good, and blends very well. I would say it is a somewhat comparable woofer, yet very much cheaper.

I am looking into their 15's because they can be had barely more than $100 used, and i want to know based on opinions of the products alone, not practices.

i thought it was clear, but if not,

What are your opinions of ED products, subs, etc, NOT their business practices, lying, stealing ideas, etc. I may not like the company that much, but i really enjoy their products.

The funny thing is on here, i defend ED to a certain degree, and over at icix, i confront them on issues, and kinda stir up trouble. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif I really do hate how everyone over there worships ED.

I haven't owned any eD subs - but I did have a nine.4 that I had no problems with - was a nice amp.

I really liked my 9kv.2's.... took a beating.

The EU's were pretty good as well, and the 16kv.2 is a nice budget 15, sounded really good.

Found the 19Ov.2 to be a little fragile, but sounded good nonetheless.

If you have owned other ED subs and were happy with them and you are now intereseted in a 15. Why not go for it? You already have had good experience with them... It is your opinion and your money. I have owned both ID and ED subs. IDQ 10's and 11kv3 Both are great subs.... I would never hesitate to buy either one of them in the future. My new setup requires slightly more RMS requirement as I'm using 1000 RMS. The new IDQv.3's look very good and have a better fit for my application. I'm going to give the ID's a whirl on this one. They look very promising and with the past experience, I'm sure I will not be disappointed.

There are too many good companies out there to risk buying from someone you don't trust just because they make "good" products.

Yes, you are comparing one company not answering emails quickly enough, to another company who has been caught lying, stealing, cheating, and just about anything else they can get away with to make a quick buck. The comparison is absurd, and tries to downplay the things eD has done, and continues to do till this day.
And, your use of the word 'past' implies they no longer exercise those business practices, they most certainly do. If you dont want to discuss their scandals, fine. But dont pretend they are only in the past, or on the same level as a slow return email, that's exactly what the eD fans try to do. Divert attention, try and make it look like everyone practices business that way, or tryo to ignore the problems altogether. For someone who gives em hell on ICIX, you sure follow their routines pretty well.

I wouldn't have said one word about this, in this thread, if you hadn't used those lame *** excuses to justify making another eD purchase. You want to buy their product, fine. But dont come looking for approval here, or looking for us to help you justify it. I dont wish ill-will on anyone who owns their product, but also wish to remind them any more money they pay those people after knowing how they operate, is helping nthem to stay in business and continue their lousy business practices.

Since you've had good results with the other ED subs and you can get one at alil more than $100 I'd say go for it.

I have owned a NINe.1 and to be honest it was one of the best amps I have owned. I also just got some of those cheapo 12" and they are very impressive on sound...
