ED e12K related at all to SI BM?

Hey, i was just curious because i recently got an SI BM, and i noticed it looked very similar to the e12k (with the blue E cone, destjl made). The motors are both 2.5" vc, same mags, same diameter, just a different bottom plate. I like my e12k, but i read alot how the BM is superior to even most TC-9 based subs, and i was hoping for an upgrade from my 130v.2(which i find superior to the e12k).

Nope, they are completely different. I suppose the OD and height of the slugs are the only things that are similar (we don't have any experience with the eD's).

i heart my old school K15, that sub was a beast. I had 1400watts goin to it for a couple weeks until i finally pulled the stereo. Took it like a champ lol.

BM top plate looks thicker as well. Also BM stands for "Bad Motherfucker" and yes, that is true. It has been called Baby Mag as well, but that is not the original intent.

Different top plate and bottom plate, as you can see in the pics. The only thing similar are the slugs.

Ah they are slightly different, aside from the obvious color difference. Is one Chinese and the other Southern Chinese?

No, but they are still pretty **** loud! I hit a 143.6 with 2, in a box designed for SQ in my daily off of 1000 watts. If I had 1500 watts on them in a SPL box, i probably could have done a 146 or so.
