eD 16Ov.2 or RE XXX?

And one person's 'real world experience' cannot rule out specs and physics, plain and simple. Are you suggesting otherwise?
edit: and Im not bashing eD as a company or their products in any way. Not one of my comments on this thread has suggested eD makes bad products. So if you are pointing that finger at me, you can just aim it elsewhere. Thanks.
Yes i guess i was a little off on that, and no the ed bashing wasnt directed toward you, just a few others that have no idea what there talking about. I have nothing against you, its just i hate when people think that the spec sheet means everything and real world expierence is junk.

Understood, and I actually do agree with you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Thanks for clarifying.

Uh Yeah...Just my comment here I hope I don't get choked for saying it.....but I would go with the XXX All around better sub but if you don't want to use as much power then the OV hands down. It's really up to you on how much power you want to send through your car. They are both very efficient subs. Now that you have a lot of advice on each sub tell us what you choose in the future. If you want to stick around 600-1000 watts I'm voting the OV if you want 1500-2000 I'm voting the XXX

Yes.
I know I prefer anecdotal, whimsical references to two "systems" when comparing drivers on the internet - or comparing them in general.

After all, physics and hard data shouldn't be a concern at all, should it... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif
I've posted questions about the T/S parameters on here before and the answer I got was, you can't really base how a sub will perform strictly off these numbers.

Although I haven't heard either of these subs, I'm guessing the 16 ov2 would win in SQ (at least to my ear) but it sounds like this guy is looking for SPL so XXX is probably better. Then again if he gets 2 16 ov2's his system will be crazy loud if he has an amp capabe of feeding them enough power.

three blondes walk into a bar....

Polecat must be a brunette. Blondes can't count to three!

disclaimer: If you are blonde and this post offends you, go ask a brunette friend to explain what humor is.

Have you heard both setups in the exact same vehicle with the exact same settings (bass boost/etc) with subs in the exact same alignments?
If the answer is no, then your comparison is meaningless. Just because you've "heard" something, doesn't mean you can draw any valid conclusions from that experience.

i in fact have heard both subs in the same car with the same gear... just

different boxes...

ive owned the 15" XXX and i currently own the 16Ov.2

the 15 XXX sealed with 1200 watts

DOES NOT SOUND AS GOOD OR GET AS LOUD AS

the 16Ov.2 ported with 1200 watts.

take that for what its worth... if you dont have the power or

space for the XXX it is a supreme waste of money...

if you are just looking for an efficient overall great performer

i would suggest the 16Ov.2

if you have the power and space and want to beat the streets

i suppose the XXX would be a better choice...

but i would still go with 2 16Ov.2s in that case... i just plain

like it better...
