For the past nine years I have been able to use the employer purchase and same money on the eclipse. I may enjoy the discount, but if I ever left Fujitsu Ebay would be my last choice for there products. I still own four of there amps (dating back to 98) and never had a problem with one. The build quality is superb and the sound is very warm on all frequencies. The only amp sound I like more was from a six channel ADS made in the mid nineties. I realy wish I still had that one. The Manufacturers price is still very cheap compared to anything at Best Buy. In my opinion it would be a purchase well worth the money.

The DA7122 may be pretty steep, but it is built from components used in very high end home audio. The new adition of ICE technologly looks very promising and I have yet to see another amp cary a damping factor greater than 1000.

Doh!, Auto Audio. I get a little too excited when I type sometimes.
That makes more sense. How's business up there? Last time I was up in Sup Town I think I ended up passed out in some guys laundry room...which is not hard to do when $15 [5 Long Islands] will get you absolutely hammered like it's nobody's business //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I screwed up a long time ago and reveresed the + and - on a 33230 and smoked the amp. smoke filled my trunk. Hooked the amp back up right and it worked for 2 more years and is now in a friends car working great for 2 more years now and still going strong

The first Eclipse amp I ever owned was the PA4212. I bought it off ebay and it showed up with the ground terminal bent...guy probably dropped it. So I hooked it up and it worked fine for a while and then it started to cut out becuse the connection on the board was just barley touching.

So I opened it up, soldered it back down and put some epoxy on the terminal to keep it straight. Worked like a charm.

Later on I had a bottle of water that dumped over on my floor and got the amp wet!! That son of a ***** just kept on playing like nothing happened.

I had that thing bridged to my sub (400x1 @ 4) for a while and it did great and then switched it over to my comps (130x2 @4) and it did great there.

I eventually sold it after like 2 years for $20 less than I paid for it after all that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Are you seeing a trend here Bubble boy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Who exactly is Bang & Olufsen? I heard that they are the ones who designed the DA7122 and the DA7232! Is there somethin' important to know bout' these 2people or something special bout' these amplifiers?

nevermind I guess I got the picture of who they aree!

http://www.bang-olufsen.com/audi/

thats it, im gonna go for the DA7122!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

with the ICEpower it makes it more than 90% of efficiency:awesome: + 120dba and still gives out ~1000rms @2ohm, it seems verryyyy promising!

+

Bang & Olufsen seems to have bad *** technology & products!!

I think I have found the perfect amplifier in my needs

thx again for all inputs!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/2thumbs.gif.fdc3ba010dbb42b61704534b46d02fe4.gif

Business is going good, we are just finishing up the remote start season and starting to gear up for the audio rush. Trying to fill inventory up with 06 product.

We are starting to make a name for ourselves for our custom installs and fiberglass, as we are the only shop in northern mn that glasses. Just finished up a $8,000 dollar install in a 03 CTS and we are working on a $20,000 + install on a Grand Cheerokee:crazy: .

Sup town is still the black hole on the other side of bridge. The one you go to after 2 a.m. to get more hammered after our bars close, but never come back.

Grandma's Sports Garden on Friday nights has 5$ pitchers of Long Islands //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

hahahaaha the black hole...that's funny. Glad to hear business is boomin up there. The shops around in the city are pretty lousy, except for a few. Seems most are more concerned with selling you JDM break lights and some new rims then they are about quality audio products //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Pathetic indeed!

When do the new Eclipse amps arrive?

I'm running an ea3422 on my fronts.... cleanest sounding amp I've ever had.
I'm also running the EA3422. Solid amp. Gets hot at full load pushing my current speakers but it's never cut off from protect and it provides beautifully clean sound. I've got it set up currently as a 4ch amp and am using the passive xovers for my Rainbow's. (and a low pass @ 63hz/24db on my deck for the woofers). The speakers get quite loud and are nice and clear, but at lower volumes the sub is obscenely loud in comparison. I'm thinking about bridging the 3422 to 2x140 and using the passive's options to attenuate the tweets instead of my current method of adjusting it on the deck...

Does anyone know if it is any more or less stressful (on the amp) to run the amp bridged to 2ch vs. 4ch mode like i am currently?
