Aight guys I pretty much have my mind set on getting this sub(still debating between a few others). I was wondering if they are better in a sealed box? Most of the installs I've seen they are sealed. This next question is pretty much personal opinon: Do you pefer these subs over the lightning audio storm series? The storm series is almost 100$ cheaper off of ebay(thats from indo:crap: ) And the power requirements are so much lower for the titanium then the storm??? well kick some info around about both of these subs and personal exp is always good:)

The Eclipse is in a whole different league than lightning audio. If you have the funds for Eclipse, definetly get the Ti's.
that statment, for the most part is true. but this is one hell of a LA sub... made by tc sounds, and built to get **** loud. im fairly sure that the eclipse has the storm beat as far as linear displacement and whatnot goes, but i havnt had any expierience with either... well, besides a ti15 but thats out of the question here...

Both of these subwoofers are made by TC Sounds, and both are based on TC's 3HP platform. So basically the two are identical, maybe a difference in soft parts and cone material to slightly alter the parameters of the Lightning version (probably to make it a dual 2 ohm setup instead of the dual 4 ohm Ti). So as you could imagine, the power requirements are the same for both 1000Wrms.

These subs will work in tiny sealed boxes, but they really come alive in vented enclosures. 1.5 ft^3 tuned to 35hz will do the trick for either of these 10" versions.

I believe you couldn't go wrong either way, but I highly recommend the Ti simply because I have a lot more experience with them. And they are so **** sexy looking.

Well said. The two drivers have more in common than most people realize. Due to the more intelligent surround design, the LA manages more displacement than the Ti as well.

As said, more Sd increases displacement, but that is about the only thing I know about the LA. I have personal experience with the Ti and I love it, but cannot recommend one over the other.

I do have the funds for the eclipse and thats the one I was leaning towards. Just want to get so opinions on them, and see if the extra 100$ was worth it. I think I will be ordering my ti today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Jimmyjames that is a clean *** setup! Nice s-dime as well, I have a 2004 colorado that this is going in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Probably should have started a new thread for this but here it goes. I have a guy willing to sell me a TDX for 175 shipped. I like the TDX subs Ive heard them in person, but just reading about the ti's it seems it outshine the TDX in all aspects. What do you guys think?
