If it's a 9122 it has qca bro u can easily take it apart
Still don't see how you can access the bolts unless you can move the grills. Anyways I highly doubt the coil rub is from the somewhat loose basket. The subs wiring came undone in the middle of a 18hz sine wave and the other sub still moving I believe caused the coil to shift.

YOU DO NO YOU CAN TAKE THE WHOLE TOP/BASKET OFF RIGHT and if its not on tight it cant **** up the sub if it moves to much
THANKS BUT I DON'T THINK FOR THE FINAL TIME THAT CAUSED OR IS CAUSING THIS ISSUE. I'll give it a go but I am 95% sure that is not the issue.

Sub is nfs atm I believe I have found the problem and it is a simple fix. Coils were near mint when I looked at them and I found a lifted section of the surround. Gonna put some ca glue on it and see if it still rubs.

This surround issue I am sure was from that run and am certain it is the issue. Going to get some ca glue now will let you guys know the results. The surround was taken off the cone/dustcap in the section where there is rub.

Just used some glue on the sub and that seems to have been the problem. Once fully dry I will give it a test and if it is all good I will probably not sell either sub.
