eclipse ti 18"

Eclipse never made a Ti 18. Unless you got the origional Ti with the 3hp motor reconed to an 18 that is.

They made a Ti pro 18, though. 4 hp motor.....4 inch coil.....Those things will SOAK up power. Sick subs if you have the power for them. I wouldn't hesitate to throw 5kw at one.

Good luck with it.

Many Ti pro 18's were made, no Ti 18 (non- pro's ) were officially produced for resale. The ones in the picture above never touched Eclipse's hands. They don't even have mesh screens on the basket, official Ti's all do. (implies after market recone as stated)

To answer the original question:

Like the pro 15, the 18 too is still a very low Q woofer. around 0.15 to 0.18. This means is a very sensitive driver particular geared for 4th order boxes (vented) but tuning should be slightly high and the box small due to natural roll off and potential non-linear response when the resonator's peak displacement Fs is pushed to low. Tune above 30Hz, or break out some active EQ. The box can be very small and it will still work fine... the larger the box, more SPL at resonance, but the more non-linear the overall response will be.... Hard driver to work with really... nature of the 4HP.

That would be what they are rated at.....Mine laughed at 750 though. They will eat 1.5k easily if you know what you are doing.
