Eclipse speed/ power question

I have a 96 eclipse RS. I want to add to it and make it the fast tuner i always wanted. My question is: Right now it has the 2.0 liter stock engine. Would it be better to swap in a new engine like a 2.4 eclipse gs turbo engine or could i even fit some kind of mitsu v6 in there i kinda dought the v6 but let me know. Would i get a big differance from say the 2.4 plus all the add ons like exaust intake and eventualy turbo or would the stock work just as well with all that stuff and do u have a better engine swap idea. How hard would it be to put in one of these new engines

the 2.4 is a workhorse engine. it is a tuff engine add all the goody's like,turbo,cold air intake,headers, cat back,etc and you will enjoy every mile you drive along with all the tickets and odd things like that.the 2.4 is a great choice in engine's you will put a good amount of time and money into it but the final moments of a beast in the making is well worth it. good luck

A good engine is the JDM cyclone i beleive its a 2.0 liter turbo engine great engine for tons of mods .

the 4g63 is a great powerplant, loads of aftermarket available for it too

the swap isnt going to be an easy task not with mitsu. but well worth it

you would be MUCH better off selling the car and just buying a GS-T........there is no 2.4 turbo engine, only the 2.0 4g63. Putting a 2.4 from a spyder or a new eclipse in a regular GS would be stupid
