The type R's will be louder simply because of cone area and excursion, making them push more air than the one eclipse. But the eclipse will sound better. Yes.

Yes. It just matters to which end you want to lean, SQ or SPL.

yeah a 3rd vote for the type-r's simply b/c eclipse is overprice IMO. good woofers but very expensive.

I would take the Eclipse because of the quality and performance, worth the money, much more accurate
