Eclipse INFO 3 able to read key cd??

My eclipse is giving me an INFO 3 errrr reading. If I try to reinstall it, will the hu be able to read the key cd? If not, I can't do anything with the unit right? I do have the correct key cd from the previous owner by the way. It worked when I first installed it.

Afaik the CD drive is messed up. Had it happen on my cd3000 and now it just started on my cd3200. Seems intermittent though. Cause my 3200 will still play some discs. Not really worried being I play music through a thumb drive.

Doesn't really mean it's the lens unit that's going bad, that code is general for "unable to read CD". Might be a scratch in the disc?????

here is my issue, when i take a brand new cd and it doesnt read it. thats what it did on my cd3000 and my cd3200(just starting to). and saw it happen in a buddies cd5100.
