Eclipse Hybrid

Has anyone actually heard the new Eclipse "hybrid" subwoofer? They seem to be somewhat smaller than the eclipse aluminum series subwoofers and most certainly are A LOT cheaper. I have always liked eclipse products especially the Ti series. How are the performance in terms of sql of these "new" drivers? Any information would be appreciated thanks...

whats so hybrid about them?
did the LMT have *** with XBL^2

and forms the XMTL^3?
The website describes them as being a kind of "hybrid." Personally the only reason I would see them as one is because their specs are somewhat different, although resembling the aluminum series, and that their power handling capabilities are somewhat less than the others. The dustcaps resemble the titaniums, but their performance is apparently less than the aluminums, but I can't say for positive about any of this being as I haven't heard them in action.

Alright I have done some researching and listening.... this sub is just another line of Eclipse. They wanted to make a high quality subwoofer in a lower price range so it would appeal to more consumers. When they built this driver they apparently "underestimated" it. They new what they were doing but they weren't planning on making it near as potent as it is. It runs very close performance-wise to the Eclipse Aluminum subwoofers. The local dealer is now saying that Eclispe is talking about upgrading the Aluminum series because the "hybrid" driver is performing too close to the Aluminum series. I heard them recently and they sound every bit as powerful and clean as the Eclipse Aluminums. They have the same throw, magnet weight, and motor structure. They only real difference in "sound" terms is that the Aluminums get a little deeper and punchier. For the price, these new dirvers out-perform the latest Eclipse Aluminum subs. (If there are any further questions feel free to ask).
