Do you knwo if that hu will illuminate orange/red?

Illumination: During normal operations, the main display is on and the Disc, AM/FM, Sound, and Display buttons and the rings on the Audio Control and Select dials are illuminated. When the vehicle's lights are turned on, the CD Eject, Mute, Return, Power, up/down and the 6 preset buttons are illuminated as well. The orange/white wire in the unit's harness must be connected to the vehicle's headlight circuit in order for the additional buttons to illuminate when the lights are turned on. You can select one of five button illumination combinations: Blue/Red, Blue/Green, Blue/Amber, All Red, or All Amber.

The HU should also have an orange for illumination, connect this to the ill on the harness for your car.

Orange/White coming out of the Eclipse bundle is illumination. I guess that goes to the headlights then. Still I have Orange and Orange/White coming out of the Honda adapter. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Orange on your harness that connects to the factory wiring plug goes to the orange/white on the Eclipse harness. No need to search for other wires in the car.

So the Orange/White in the Honda adapter for dimmer doesn't get used. Wonder what they put it in there for then? Thanks for your help!

Nice intercooler. Good pick up but i think if you probably could have saved yourself some money and bought the 8445 online for like $300 but if warranty and what not was important to you then CD5000 is a solid pick up. Looks pretty much the same as last years HUs but knobs seem a bit different.

the CD5000 is the basically the same thing as the 8445 so to answer your question no.

Good pick up but i think if you probably could have saved yourself some money and bought the 8445 online for like $300 but if warranty and what not was important to you then CD5000 is a solid pick up. Looks pretty much the same as last years HUs but knobs seem a bit different.

Did the 8445 have the GPS feature? Where would you find it.... E-Bay?

It is kind of nice having the warranty, everything to put it in and free shippining.

the CD5000 is the basically the same thing as the 8445 so to answer your question no.

get big pics up once you have it installed! I am trying to decide between the 5000 and the 7000 but no one around town actually has them on display yet!

oh.. i don't have first hand knowledge of these new units so since you do is it? it was just my assumption that the CD5000 was the same as the 8445.
