Eclipse AVN5435 and Alarm, good?

Alright, I was wondering if the Eclipse AVN5435 is a good unit. What are the pros and cons of this unit? Does it play VCD's? How is the quality of the unit? Etc etc. Hows the touch screen, navigation etc.

Also, I am at one of my local audio shops and the guy wants to install this alarm but it's some kind of alarm I've never heard of, he said it's a new Shelby Alarm. It has remote start, rolls up and down windows, pager remote, etc etc. He said they are new and Shelby is endorsing it, anyone know about these?

I've tried to talk him down in price and he said he'll do the Eclipse AVN5435 screen fiberglassed into my dash and the alarm for $2700 out the door. So that's about $1650 for the screen, $350 for the alarm and $700 for the labor/install, thats the fiberglass and alarm install, is that a good price?

good price for the avn unit-

the alarm i never heard of......but labor should be included in the cost of the alarm

Can the Eclipse unit play VCD's? I heard that they can't?
