Eclipse Amp ?

Ok, im not that great with electronics so humor me me. So its 370w x 2 @ 4ohms, does that mean 370w for say two subs running at 4 ohms? And if it were only one sub would it be 740w? It came with two 10" MTX's too but the box is huge and will not fit in my truck. I have a fairly decent system in my truck right now but i need a new amp and if this one will work for me then that would be great. Thanks

Two channels.

Each channel can output 370w into a 4ohm load (speaker/subwoofer).

So if you were to connect one subwoofer to each channel, each one could receive 370w.

Nope.

If you were going to only run a single [4ohm] subwoofer, you could only use one of the channels and it would still only receive 370w.

O.K. I see that everybody will say for these amps that they are not stable at 2 ohms, I just got a hold of 2 15" eclipse dvc's and they from what I read are 6ohm subs and when wired they are brought down to 3.1 ohm!!! Can this amp support a 3.1 ohm setup at each channel? Just curious cause if not I'll have to have the subs playing at 6 and 12 ohms.
