Eclipse 5435? (Help Please)

you cant shut it off nor should you have any reason to. i have this deck as well.
What do you mean "no reason to"??? Why would you want to leave it on radiating heat when you can turn it off if you're not using it.??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

While I believe that if you are not using an internal amp, you might as well turn it off(if possible), the actual amount of heat generated by an internal amp(not being used to power anything) would be very small.

Touch a CD that comes out of a deck with an internal amp and then touch one that comes out of a deck that can turn it off or a deck that doesn't have an internal amp. I've found there to be a night and day difference between the two.

the deck itself generaltes heat, and the amount created by the internal amp isnt great compared to the heat that is already made by the deck.

You missed the point. I said the difference in the temp of the cds that came out were night and day so its NOT the deck itself generating that much heat. Its the internal amp that generates MOST of it.
