alpine 9853 mp3 question

anyone familiar with this cd player, i have a problem..well i think its a problem.

When listening to mp3's, the volume isnt as loud, and right between 22-30 on the volume doesnt increase at all.

Could I have gains set wrong on my front amp causing this? Or just another flaw on new alpine hu's?

I have the 9847 - I think it is very close to the 9853 - it plays MP3s with no problems. I do notice some play louder than others. Regarding the clipping between 22 and 30 - if it was the amp clipping I would think you would notice it playing the radio or CDs.

it does that with my HU too when i burn Mp3s, i think its just the quality of the download, becuase it only does it with some of the songs for me

The problem is with your MP3s, not the head unit. Click the link in my sig and try using that for a much better sounding MP3.

You may want to try appling Replay Gain to the tags, but if you already have a crappy MP3, then there is nothing you can do.
