It doesnt matter if the system is on or not. If they are Dual 2 then they will either be a .5, or a 2 ohm load if you wire the pair together. The only time you will see a 1 ohm load is if each speaker is seperate, and parallel. Then you will see 2 1 ohm loads. If they are dual 2 you should look for an amp that is .5 ohm stable, so you can wire both subs in parallel. And yes 2100 watts would be over powering them, but if the signal is a clean one they should be able to handle them with properly set gains.

Im sitting at a half of an ohm ur saying??
I have both speakers red coil conections running together straight to the amp, same as the neg coil wires too. So i have all red to red and black to black !!
When joining these speakers wiring where is my ohm load sitting?
And is the amp bringing the load down when i connect it as well, im understanding that the amp brings the load level down again inside?
