Bought a JL 300/2 from Ebay.

(Ain't guna talk your head off, so look at the pics should explain everything. But if you wanna know more:)

Guy said it works fine.

Charged me $25 to ship the item. But only Spend $8

I'm hella PISSED!

Thus the item arrived broken...

Tab was broken and gone. Which made me worried.

(amp worked for about 5-10 minutes) Then green light remained on and speakers sounded like utter shit and got really quiet. Like the volume went from 17 to volume 2. But the THD shot up to like 80%.

Opened it up and this is what I found. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

A few small things are brown and blown. But looks like 2-3 mosfets are gone.

(sorry camera is on my mac)

Link to the auction? I'd like to read over the auction to make sure nothing was mentioned intending it was in 'non-working' condition or something.

Sorry to see that though, seems the seller was dishonest, especially charging you 3x what it actually cost to ship.. Best of luck getting this worked out man.

Didn't he specify a shipping price in the auction?

Didn't you know it doesn't cost 25.00 to ship

If it was an auction,Did you bid accordingly to offset the 25.00

So basically the shipping is irrelevant, but the fucced up amp should be his problem.

i think its very relevant. if you charge someone 25 to ship you should spend that entire 25 bucks in shipping materials to make sure it arrives without being broken.

the amp was broken in shipping, because he skimped on materials, plus hes a shitty seller because he sold a partially blown amp.

So if he used all 25.00 then that would have guaranteed the amp's safe arrival?

If you charge $25 for shipping. You pay $25 dollars (or more) in materials.

It's not a guarantee... But it's added assurance.

You're paying someone for a service, and they're skimming off the service for profit. It's like buying a pound of cheese, and the guy skims off 10.88 ounces of cheese and gives it to you.

It's not what you paid for.
