thats the way that i do it as well. I have guide pieces that are 52, 40, 28 and 20 inches long.

Works well for me.

I just bought a sheet at home depot last week and the guy making my cuts didn't even know how to operate the wall saw or the circular saw. I did 85% of the cutting with their tools while he stood there and picked his azz. He didn't walk me up to the front desk so I got a good deal...the old lady didn't even notice the cuts so they were courtesy of home depot.

It just takes FOREVER to get it cut the same way with a circ saw. I know this because I have a great table saw, a pretty good circ saw and a retarded good bosch jig saw (the newest addition to the familia). I use the table saw for everything unless I just need to cut off like 10" from a huge panel, in which case I'd use the good ol' circular.

Seems you found out the two cardinal rules of table saws. Pay for the fence first, and then a good blade. All else is really up in the air unless you have a motor from a RC car.

Yeah except this table saw is like 60 years old and just needs to be fixed? i dont know how so yeah. I wish i did.
