E12A or IDMAX? Strictly for SQ

I have a chance to get an Elemental Designs 12a.22. I basically decided to get an IDMAX but Im wondering what to do. I dont know if the 12a is anything like the RLP which I hated the low end so im kind of stuck.

I have the tantrum 1200 and the IDMAX wont have a warranty because it will be used.

Still would take the Max. I would take that over most subs. I just usually don't want to pay the price used on one.

I was wondering the same thing awhile ago. So i bought both. The idmax is a whole lot louder. IMO the 12a sounds better. Bad thing is if your A blows your fukt. So the idmax would be the better since you have a warrranty and all that mess.

Can you explain how it sounded better? Less overhang? Better controlled low end? Better integration with front speakers?
