Anyone ever have dyno tuning done to an import before? I just picked up my first import (95 Eclipse). And it really needs to be tuned properly with a dyno because of all the upgrades that where put in by the previous owner. I was just wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea on how much it cost's and how long it usually will take to get done?

AMS near chicago here is a mitsu shop mainly, they do $165/hr for safc tuning and $200/hr on a full tune.

if you have enough knowledge to setup whatever tuning equipment you have, a lot of dynos charge $75ish/hr just for pulls, thats If you can do it yourself.

Yea everything is already hooked up I just need proper tuning done. Which im told I need a dyno for the best results. Down side, trying to find a shop in the pittsburgh are that does it.

Alright so i found a place close to me that does it........

Does that look like an okay deal? Its the only place i could find with in an hour of me. And i was just wondering for you guys who have had this done already is it a big improvement. Or if you could take it back would you have done something else with the money?

i'd say its worth it, proper tuning really brings everything together and gets all the potential out of the parts you have and makes them work with each other as good as possible. and that seems like a pretty good dyno rate, i have heard of slowboy racing before, they are amongst the common known names in the dsm world and i'd feel confident in bringing a car there.
