Deadener is made to stop erroneous noise in the cabin, not magically make wimpy panels stop flexing. It took 3 layers of extreme and dyna-foam to get the sound out of my roof, but now I can punch it and it won't leave a dent. It's all about layers, and using the correct stuff for the application. I won't go into arguing which is better than what, but I used Dynamat (was my only option when I first started) and have been very impressed with it.

I'm especially concerned about those complaining to you about my open cell foam - since I don't sell open cell foam.

That reminds me of a lmao moment with you Don. The time you sent me those free samples of an SPL tile, weatherstripping, etc that you sent several people. We talked about it a couple days after I got it, we were discussing the various things you'd sent. At one point I said "I think Im most excited about the piece of foam you sent". You said "I didnt send any foam". I said "Yes you did, a small rigid piece similar to styrofoam". Your reply was "oh, that's just packaging material". Holy shit I felt stupid. well im not spending an more $$ on any sound deading is not worth the $ and over rated

I gained 1.2db after i installed fatmat (3 layers all over) haha not the best but it worked pretty well
