Some reason im having difficulty finding what program to use to just take my video files off my computer and burn them to dvd. I know they have to be encoded in tha DVD format but i thought Nero did this.

Nero when i select my DVD drive only lets me do VCD, For Example if i wanted to put Little man and Clerks 2 on a DVD Is there a program i can use that will covert it to a medium that i can just burn to dvd.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My version of Nero will do it. Make sure on the quick start menu, you have DVD or DVD/CD selected at the top. If you only have CD, it will only display the options available for CD, such as VCD.

I think my version may be messed up, time to look for another. my smartstart throws some error up.

Try DVD Shrink or DVD Fab

i have DVD shrink, it will let me burn random files from my comp to a dvd?

I dont think dvdshrink takes just any video file and compile into a dvd. You can use Nero man. Its in the menu under "Photo and Video" (in StartSmart) Select "Make your own DVD-Video" it takes a bit to encode it tho, I think like an hour or so depends.

Ulead DVD Movie factory, what i used to burn all my little pics and .gif to dvd for my HU

will put slide shows, wmv, mpeg, maybe avi, it does alot and you can create menu's with custom backgrounds and songs
