Dvd player... question

I purchased that Jensen DVD player... that some of you guys heard me talking about... well got it installed... and when ever I play a song... or dvd..... the music will just randomly shut off... but the video will continue...

When I say the sound... I mean all my stock speakers and my sub...

The amp light never shuts off... it stays on... but the sound just stops... not just in the sub... but all of the speakers....

What am I doing wrong? This is my first DVD PLAYER install

Its not going to have a problem right out of the box like that... even if its a shitty deck.... comeon dont just start with the bashing on it... and ACTUALLY help...

I can't really help you, but I'd say if you posted it in the right section you'd have better odds of finding a solution.

I wouldnt totally count it out as a factory defect, I wouldnt expect Jensen to have top notch quality control. Do you have the problem isolate to the DVD player? As in are your speakers hooked directly to the DVD player or through a seperate amp? If you can isolate it without a doubt to the DVD player, I would guess a factory defect and send her back for a refund or replacement.

^^^, AMEN. Jensen does not have the best quality, hence why you had a lot of people tell you to get it only if you want to re-sell it for a profit. Take it back while you still can, IMO, beacuse there are alot better out there for the price.

if ur music shuts off but amp light stays on and the video is still playing... check and make sure every speaker is good... and you dont' have a short in the speaker wires... just becuase it's a jensen dvd player everyone says it's jensen... actually the quality has went wayyy up lately... they're made by audiovox now... and i would say the picture on the jensen 7" flip out is better than the one on my avic-n1...
