DVC4 wiring quick question

if using 2 dual4s if i wire them to 2 ohms (each seperate) is it safe/okay to connect the positives and the negatives together at the amp to run a 2ohm load?

depends on the amp. and why not connect the subs inside the box and run a single +/- out?
