if u only use 1 voice coil instead of 2 to get the correct ohms needed to play the amp more eff. will the sub produce less bass than it wud if i were using both voice coils

Using only one coil is not something I would recommend the novice attempt.

If you have a DVC subwoofer, use both coils.
