Dustcap Repair.

got a crack in the dustcap of a 12W7 easy way to fix it? or can i order a new dustcap from JL or..what?

Plastic weld?, some sort of epoxy maybe.

I hope you mean just a new cap. , Sealing an existing one with a crack will be tough, i think u can buy them for like 7 bucks,use some epoxy glue and put ehr on there. dont use superglue it will turn white.

yeah...xxx dustcap is $7 im sure jl charges more tho

I emailed JL an they said the only way to fix it was to get a full recone. so i guess ill try some epoxy or somthing along those lines. who would pay 350 bucks just to fix the dustcap? a new ****ing sub is 500ish

Yep, same thing happend to a friend of mine with his Dub 7... 3 times. Needless to say he gave up on the W7's after the 3rd one.
