Dust cap warm-normal?

Alright, just put a new dustcap on my sub and cuz the first one ripped apart.

Just wondering if it's normal for it to be warm ONLY on the dust cap?

It's not like burning hot, it's just warm. But that's only after 20 minutes of play beating it for like 20 second bursts.

Normal or no? I can't find much for searches

That's about the first spot that will get warm when you start heating up the coil (from 20 minutes of beating on it)

Just never noticed on all my other subs... seems weird lol.

Since my first cap broke I'm all worried about this one breaking off too.

I used the rubber stuff from Fixmyspeaker, under it and a layer around the top outside of it.
