Dust Cap Glue..

Anyone know what I could use to put the dustcap back onto a Treo SSI? I've tried several things and none work. They'll hold until it starts playin, then break again.

gorilla glue and let it dry for the listed time on the back!! Will have tons of foam though! CA Glue or a 2 part epoxy would work just have to let it have dry time, thats going to be key

why did the dust cap first come off? i have the same sub so i was just wondering.

Goop...it works the best. CA glue can dry with a white haze around it, making the glue joint look bad.

Idk when or why mine came off. but it was shortly after powering a single one with 1700 behind the seat of a truck. I had 2 in my car originally then Sold the pair to a friend with a truck, I just assumed it was from smacking against theback of the seat, or it gettn hott and melting the glue.. Never knew exactly y. Which of those would work the best, and where could i get it?

call treo and ask what they glue them on with.

Treo isn't great w/ customer support. I've been trying to get an answer for about 2 months. CA glue seems to be the common answer, but I can't find any.

theres some ca glue for you.

works like a charm. one time i had a friend who was at a party. he had a pair of type argh 10's and a box i built for him in his jetta with a power acoustik a1000db on it. he spent like $400 on everything including his headunit. and this kid he knew had spent like $2000 for his 'custom install' and my friend was louder than him and the kid got pissed and threw a chunk of brick at one of his subs and put a big hole in the cone\dustcap.

so i cut it out nice and straight with a razor, glued the cone back together, and glued a piece of corragated cardboard into the hole that was left in the dustcap.

worked until this day. was like 10 months ago.

I've used Goop many times and have never had a problem - it dries clear.
