You don't, but you can run more than one sub with it. If the subs are 2 SVC 4 ohm subs, then you can connect them in parallel to run a 2 ohm load.

There is no way to bridge the amp. It seems that the person is using a bunch of technical jargon to sell it better.

some class D amps are designed to be "strappable". in this way people can use 2 monoblock amps per coil. some people would put 8 amps on 1 sub to get the most power. plus its cheaper to get 8 1kW amps then a single 8kW amp.
