i have a FX4.50 4 chan amp and 2 10s.... i wanted to know if i can bridge the amp "twice" to hook up each sub to a set of terminals??? get it? no? ok, i would bridge 1&2 hook up 1 10" and then bridge 3&4 and hook up my other 10"...... can i do this safely without frying my amp??? amp does 200rms at 4ohm bridged, and subs are 4ohm 250rms

Oh man was I about to go off on the guy who said yes for claiming you could bridge 4 channels down into 1, and then I finished reading the OP's post! Man, gotta concentrate on reading the OP before reading replies LOL!

If you have Dvc sub, the you could use all 4 channels to power that woofer.
It's fairly important to make sure to drive the coils with the exact same voltage, because otherwise the coil with the higher voltage can induce voltage onto the other channel and your amplifier may not like that. I do not ever condone using a multi-voice-coil speaker on different amplifier channels, even if they're being driven with the same signal, unless there is no other choice and they are VERY well level matched and the gain controls are not in an easy to access location where your ******* friend (admit it: we've ALL got them) will stupidly change it and fry something.

Besides, there is no benefit to that, and sometimes an amp will put out more bridged than it would to the two channels summed in stereo (though they're usually the same).
