Dumb port question

If I have box that measures 30x12x12 anda single slot port that measures 10x2. BTW: this is a Labrinthy(sp)port. How much space must be left from the port and the wall in the back, 2 inches?

the width of the port should be the same all the way through. if the port is 10(tall) and 2(wide) the first port wall should end 2" from the inside of the back wall. just mark off 3\4", then 2" from that, then 3\4" then 2" from that until you get enough length.

and your slot port can be rectangular, and the actual sub (im guessing a 15?) can be slaned on the front. if that makes any sense.
