few questions...

why have 2 fuses if running in parallel, (one at front batt and one at rear batt)?

what size fuses are yall using on these?

whats the purpose of an isolator? does it really only let you drain the battery that you have all your system equipment ran to, in my case the rear battery?

can i just ground the rear battery to the chassis and not run it up to the front?

if i were to get another battery should i put the older one in the rear and the new one up front because of the voltage differences and one trying to charge another?

i got a stock 140 amp alt, should it hold up alright?

by the way, in the end my system setup will be 2 pr 1000's powering 2 18's and some either 2 or 4 channel amp powering some door speakers. havent decided on coaxls or something different yet. input is always nice. im planning it to be around 2400-2600 watts altogether, ive also noticed that the memphis amps like to eat up some power. i was just running 1 with a shitty comp vr15 and it seemed to have a nice voltage drop when it hit. i had a kenwood amp before but it didnt do this or at least as bad.

You can but I read read some one saying copper conducts electricity better than steel. So running the grounds back is better according to them. Makes sense to me. maybe some one will chime in that knows for sure.

because there is ~15ft of wire there. if something happens and there is only 1 fuse, both sides of the fuse are still hot

yes, it completely disconnects the 2 so the front will not drain and can start the car

you sure can. but a uni-body car it is preferred to do the ground run up front

it won't matter where it is because they'll be connected. how old is the old battery?

it will charge both batteries, yes. will it hold up? that depends on the system you run

a way to check this...

take a dmm and measure the resistance of the chassis between the front battery-chassis ground and the rear.

you can just make sure it is grounded properly. as for fuses go by you wire size. i have a 300 up front and a 300 before my first rear battery
