Dual vents on 1 sub?

Could you make a box that has 2 vents (ports) on each side of the box and the sub in the middle. Just cut the 1 port size in have and make it 2? I dunno how logical this sounds but it would look kinda neat.

Just chopping the designed lenght in half would not work, because by adding a secong port you are increasing the port area, and thusly changing the port length entirely...

Of course I've only designed one ported box, so if I'm completely wrong, flame away...

i believe he means instead of one port being 50 sq in, 2 ports that are 25 sq in would be used instead.

I don't think it's minimal, adding ports tends to increase port length considerably. Or at least that has been my expirence with it.

You can cut them down like that, but you need them to be longer to reach the same tuning frequency.
