Quick question guys, what's the minimum wattage RMS one might have before considering dual runs of 0 gauge wire for their install?

I've got an AB VFL 150.1 that I might upgrade to a VFL 200.1 as well as a 4 ch Lightning Audio amp. I'm running 2 AB XFL 12's and was going to run new wire to upgrade from cheap 0 gauge wire to some Sky High 0 gauge and was thinking about doing 2 runs of positive. Is it even neccessary for systems as small as mine? Just curious

Also, I just ordered the XS Power D3400 for under my hood and I already have a no name AGM battery in the trunk. my front battery was a wet cell and it finally died so that's why I'm getting the XS Power battery and kicking around the idea of running better wire while I'm at it. Question is, do I have to run a ground from the front battery to the back battery? or can I just ground them to separate locations in the car? Wouldn't the car itself act as the ground wire connecting the 2 batteries instead of running a 0 gauge wire between them?

I would take 2/0 welding cable over SH. I think you will be find with one run, two will not hurt. No such thing as over kill when it comes to the electrical upgrades.

Depends on your car. And your alt the wire will carry only what your alt and battery can supply and your amp can draw from them. Adding more just allows the current to get to the amp faster

might want to start thinking about at least supplementing your grounds significantly, if not adding a dedicated ground run to the batteries from your amp. i wouldn't want my chassis taking more than 200-300 amps

thats right.

a small system is fin running your grounds to the body/frame.

i have all my grounds going to batterys/ engine / alt.
