Dual inputs on amplifier?

Hello everyone, long time reader, first time poster. I have a question about my Rockford Fosgate P450.4

I'm wondering if its possible to use the low-level and high-level inputs at the same time. Not to listen to them at the same time, but to be able to switch between the two. My reason for this is because i have a computer installed in my car thats running surround sound (minus the center channel) into the high level speaker inputs, but i want to be able to retain the sound of my head unit (radio, cd, etc) through the low-level rca inputs. Is this possible, or could it damage the amplifier, or perhaps another unit in my car due to power bleeding back through one of the inputs?

Thanks in advance,

brendonius

interesting. i would try it. ive had a ridiculous number of components running into my home system for a few years now and it has never hurt anything. i've had to split the input on the back of my receiver to allow me to run more into.

Thanks for the answers guys, volume will be completely controlled by the computer (a usb volume control i rigged up). I would still have control over radio volume, but the computer will be independent from this with its own volume control.

Good idea about running head unit into Line-in on computer...never really considered that.
