dual coil 4 ohm sub - what amp?

i have a dual 4 ohm sub but it says this..

DUAL 4 OHM VOICE COILS , RUN 2 OR 8 OHMS

MONO OR 4 OHMS STEREO

does this mean i can run an amp 500w rms bridged at 4 ohm to them?

or does it have to be 2 ohm or 8ohm bridged?

Nope.

It's either 2 or 8, nothing else.

Ok, here.. I have this amp..

Sony Xplod XM-2200GTX 2 / 1 Channel Amplifier

i will have to wire it in 2 ohm mode..

i only have 8 gauge power wire so its not getting exactly full power to it, will it be stable enough..
