DUAL brand subs

Have you ever had a system before? If not you will like those subs just fine........................until you here something else. And honestly interior speakers and a amp for those owuld be better then crappy subs then save up and get a decent sub a decent amp build or have built a good box. I have switched my subwoofer setup so many times it is rediculous (which a lot of us here have) i finally got one i am satisfied with. We are just trying to help you skip some of the money wasting steps of buying shitty shit and then replacing it in a month when you hear something better. By simply buying shitty subs in a shitty box with a shitty amp you are just adding bass to your stock system and not even good bass so what will you gain? You will have shitty muddy bass that will most likely overpower your stock speakers........But no doubt you dont care you just want the boom and that is all........I swear what is car audio coming to!!!

hey man calm down...you dont understand that im not going to look for better systems or hear better ones because i am not looking for them...

im not one of those people who are obsessed with sound (not meant to be said as a bad thing)...like for instance...my friend bought a "sound system" for his computer because he thought his computer sound was below par...i would never buy something like that

i just saw a deal and figured i would take it.

as you did say...i am just wanting to add bass to my stock system

As the old saying goes.... "The grass is greener on the other side." You will like your subs untill your friend comes rolling around with some high quality 15"s.. once you hear them and listen to your own, your gonna feel as if your system sucks. I've upgraded my system once after hearing some buddies systems and it isnt fun spending all that money. So my suggestion to you is to not listen to other peoples system.. might tempt to into spending more money.

Hey man if it sounds ok to you and does what you want it to then don't worry about it. Like they said, no it is not the best. But from the sounds of what you are looking for it will get you through. So just hook em up and don't worry about other people.

Uh, yeah, those are the "Dual" XS10. They're complete and utter crap.

A friend of mine acquired a couple from somewhere. They're supposed to handle 150 WRMS. We hook it up to a no name 100W amp in a cheapo prefab sealed box and the thing started smoking and burning.

Hook the second one up and it doesn't start burning like the first but my friend managed to blow it in less than a day.

"Dual" = crap

if you just want some some bass for your music its fine, my friend has a legacy amp and sub, it sucks, but he just wants a little bit of bass for his music, it all depends in what youre looking for

no one i know has a system.

Oh wait my friend has one of those bazooka nos-looking bass tubes...do those sux?
I am not a fan of bazooka bass tubes. My friend had a couple in his integra and they didn't get to loud. Also it blew on him in 6 months.

Hey, If you think the deal is good take it. Since you never probably heard a system in a car, it shouldn't make much difference too you. Bestbuy has a nice return policy as well. You can return even open stuff in 30 days if you don't like it. Try it out and if you like it good for you, if you don't take it back. All that matters is if you like it.

yeah ima try n get my walmart wires this weekend and then find a good store to install...im thinkin about going to tweeter...i dunno how they do though...anybody heard of tweeter? also how much u think a decent store would charge? TY

why don't you install it yourself. It is a good learning experience. No matter how much you pay, no one will take the time into making sure it is perfect rather then you. I had my first install done at circuit city and they stripped the crap out of all the terminal screws making the amp useless after I uninstalled it. Ever since I done it myself and never been happier.

However, if you don't want to install it yourself then I would recommend tweeter. They seem to do a good job from what I have seen with my friend's system. However I would check to see if they include wiring in the price of installation. The local shop where I live charges 150 dollars including wiring. If you bring your own wiring they still charge you 150 dollars. I think that a rip off and the money could be used for something else.
