dual battery setup

I was wondering how to wire up dual batteries.

i was wondering if just running some power wire to connect the two possitives and the two negatives would work alright?

this is basically just to run some offroad lights, but i figured you guys here would know more about this then the jeep forumers.

pretty much run a power wire from the positive under the hood to 2nd battery fused at both batteries. you may also want to install an isolator. some do some don't. then ground the 2nd battery to chasis. don't run it all the way back to the main battery. just ground it like you would an amp.

since you should use no less then 1/0 gauge, i recommend something like 200-300 amp
