I'm giong to email them, see if I could fit 2 12s as opposed to 8s, because that would fit in my trunk, and it's really +10db from a dual bandpass box.. oh hell yeah. The biggest problem is have to reconstruct the box every time you change subs.
I would have to be really bored and alot more curious with a spare 10" sub laying arround as well to disect it all in it's entirety. The intro of it seems alot like a joke.
Well, it's basically a small folded horn layed on it's side. The design of it is, as the title implies, a 4th order bandpass with the port being uber long and flared in the folded horn style.
The box designers around here can vouch that if you did that right, you're talking hella loud.
It may be an experiment worth while. Taking a look at their site I can see the thing is not a joke, and they seem to do some quality work. I wonder what type of sub you would wnat to use in that type of enclosure. I bet a Kappa perfect 10 would be sweet.
you would want somthing like the uberwoofer to make your nuts drop. no low-quality shit in such a great box IMO. not worth the effort at all.
ive seen them completed (pictures) and i do know they work (from the people who made them) ive thought about doing it... i downloaded the entire page in HTML format with all the pictures that the 'intro' you have on there does not show.
really a crazy box. ive been wanting to do it, but i really dont have the application for it.
i've been pondering scaling it a little and put some bookshelf 6's in it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
