Dual alt brackets for F150 4.6L

nice truck. loose the side steps and drop it and it'll be moar betterz
Haha... my friend's truck is slightly raised over stock, and the first time I got in it, it was pitch black, so I opened the door and went to step onto the step, but there wasn't one and almost ate the floor of the truck.

But shit 3 alt 2 different voltages.
It is not that difficult. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif At least they all share a common ground. It is easier if you keep the 12v power wires one color and the 16v another. Like red for the 12v and yellow for the 16v. That way you know for sure what voltage you are tapping into.

I've done that before with the side steps.

What about that monster 375a?
Be very careful with alts of this size. They are probably not rated for daily vehicles. The are probably rated for a max of 30 seconds or so. Alts over 250a are usually competition only alts. You probably will be better served with 2 smaller alts if one 250a is not enough.

It's cooling issues?

It's cooling issues?
Yes. It is a cooling issue. The more power an alt makes, the hotter it gets. The hotter it gets, the shorter time it can make full power. The 300a alts out there are 30 second alts. Much more and they will smoke.

And no need to keep bumping your threads. You are in a section that has little turn over. Your thread was still on the front page before you bumped it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Oh. I didn't realize that.

On another note, my plastic around my back windshield is now cracking //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

One thing to note though is that EA is testing some 350a alts that they claim will hold up in daily driving. If they do hold up well enough, they will take the DD crowd by storm. Keep an eye out for the results.
