"Keep up" is subjective. On regular music? Tuned for SQ or all out bassez? When a lot of people say "keep up" with their substage, they simply mean they can hear it at all when at full tilt. When you tune for SQ or just good daily listening, you're going to turn your substage down. PAC LC-1 is your best friend. My subs are generally sitting at 1/4 on that knob.

Always good to have satisfying loudness without your equipment even trying. Amps staying nice and cool, noice.

Why don't you just refund his money? You obviously jacked his panels up. Be proud of the good work you do, but if you were in over your head or you couldn't make them right. Take your lumps and give his money back. Your actions to this scenario have shown a lot about you. This is how people become jokes, how they get a bad rep.
