you cant get arrested for smelling like weed, or just being high. you only get arrested if you have it on you.

um you can be arrested for being high and driving....that would be called driving under the influence....

they cant arrest you if you smell like it . but if you are intoxicated then yes they can arrest you

I think your wrong. I wont bash the shit out of you because every state is differnt. When i got pulled over many years ago and they smelt it. I was givin the option to go to the hospital for a blood test and see what was up, or i could refuse and lose my license on the spot and end up getting arrested anyway for suspition for refusing. I took the hospital route, ended up staying overnight in the local county and getting an impaired. Anyway I have since gotten away from that seen so i know what its like for people to ask ignorant questions. Either way the shit is illegal, and your not better at driving no matter WHAT you think.

I don't know what octane you guys are smoking, but back when I used to smoke it,3 hits would make me get lost in my own neighborhood.

I've seen a test conducted with a semi-pro driver on a road course, where his time over the course improved pretty significantly after smoking.

Or put some traffic lights, intersections, lots of other cars, pedestrians, etc on the course and see what happens.

As said above, blood test. If you refuse the blood test you lose your license on the spot for a year. The paper you sign when you get your driver's license allows them to do this. Atleast in Colorado.

actually there is no test were they can prove that you are high, so its not illegal to be stoned and driving

They took me to county and gave me a breath test. When I passed they asked me how much weed had I been smoking. I told them none and they responded "well then would you mind taking a blood test?" I knew they could only test me one way so I refused.

This is where it gets tricky and a good reason why weed is not legal. Just because its in your blood, doesnt mean you were high at the time. They give eye tests in Nebraska for a field sobriety before they will take you down and book you.

Depending on state and cop you may or may not be arrested for having it in your system.

Thats why I think legalizing weed could actually ****. A over ambitious cop pulls you over, arrests you for having weed in your system even if you smoked yesterday, you go to court and get sentenced by an un-open minded judge/jury and your falsely convicted.

Driving high is stupid, but until there are better tests, thats gonna be a problem for any kind of legalization.

Technically, since there isn't a definition on what constitutes an acceptable limit on

being under the influence on weed, they can convict you if it shows up in your system. It would fall under "Driving under the Influence" at least in cali and colorado.
