Drive-In movies with audio systems?

Do any of you guys that have decent audio system, or really any go to drive-in movies? I'm guessing most just turn off their subs? My friend leaves everything on, ie sub and amp and then just turns his car on for like 5-10 minutes every now and then, but I hear this is bad for your alt. Any suggestions?

I mean more for the battery issue. Do you turn the car on for abit?

we have a drive in here

I have a set of eclipse 3 ways up front with a sundown 100.4....its INCREDIBLY loud and sounds fantastic. When I had my DP 21s with both 1500s in there we went to the drive in

Opened the glass on the hatch, left all 4 windows down. And turned the volume up pretty high, had 3 batteries in there.

We just put up chairs behind the expedition and watched the movie and drank beer, about 15 of us

After awhile I noticed no one else had their car on and they were just listening to mine. It could be heard all through the lot....was pretty cool

also i turned the subs just barely on, enough to give some low end to the movie.

Sounded like a real loud high end theater

last time i was at a drive in all they had was a crappy metal speaker box you could hang from the window

you dont need to start you car on for 5-10 mins every now and then if have a decent extra battery.

No its not bad for you alts. All he is doing is recharging his battery.

I never had any problems. Here at the local drive in they play 2 movies on one screen. So during intermission, I turn my car on to charge and then shut it off for movie two and never had any problems.

I haven't gone in a couple years. I miss it. Lots of good times there.

only drive in i know of around me is in a part of atlanta where i don't even want to have my windows down while driving through. let alone parked with my system on late at night...

you tune your radio to a station that plays the audio on the big screen...
