Drinking and Lifting

its cause everyone wants to be top dog when it comes to BB'ing....you cant help it its natural tendency...i dont know about anyone else but just like car audio i dont know if i will ever bee satisfied

and stacker more power to you...i dont have the type of body to bench 3 times my weight...that would be me at around 690 lb bench press.
Haha, word. I don't anymore either. (dayum, I sound like a old man now!) And I'm glad people can actually talk to me and not just make fun of my name and avatar.

See, why can't evenyone talk like this? This dude diden't look at my avator and start calling me childish names and such. Anyway, I wrestled from 6th-11th grade and with Team Florida and Team USA. And started MMA in 10th grade. Then got into bodybuilding in the middle of it and had to ditch it. I've won quite a few State/National records in the Benchpress for almost 3 times my bodyweight raw and over 3 times with a shirt. One of my big acheivements is I just turned 16 and in the 146lb weight class paused 300lbs. Most I've even did at a meet was at 17 years old at around 165-170lb weight class. Paused around 345, squated 490 and pulled around 465 to take a state record and a qualify for a national event in WPA/APA. I miss thouse days sometimes... It's just bodybuilding from here on out now!
Half of my college wrestling team was from Florida- Lakeland and Hernando County, that I can easily recall.

Some of those weights are NUTS- I have barely broken 300 lb. on the bench at under 150 lb. body weight, and though I am over 400 on dead and squat, I have had a FEW (LOL) more years of lifting under my belt than you had at that point. I have had waaaay too many shoulder injuries to support much more on the bench than 315-325, but I cannot really use that as an excuse- I did it to myself doing something that I love. I only got into weightlifting to improve my wrestling, but these days I like it almost as much as my mat time.

Some of the guys I coach at the highschool got into wrestling as an intro to MMA. I'd try it, but my wife would kill me!

Incline db bench is my best friend for adding width to my chest, you may want to try it if your having problems with depth.
That is my current focus. It seems to put less stress on my shoulder than flat bench OR shoulder presses, so it is a solid lift. I can almost incline what I can flat, even with correct form and full ROM in the movements.

Hell yea man. I'm from Manatee county. Florida has some very tough schools. Branden always owned in wrestling, since like the 1960's. Thats why I could never place at states. I don't have many hobbies, so the ones I do have I take seriously. And I'm 20 right now, but haven't competed in powerlifting since I was 17. And I started seriously powerlifting in 7th grade. So it seems like a long time since I've competed. But I compete in Bodybuilding now, no need to go "as heavy" most of the time.

dude there is no way i could bench double my body weight. im 167 and my max is 245lbs. (injured right now though) no bench for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I quit doing bench press when i tore my pectoral the first time and havent looked back since. Im sure can incline much more than i could bench now, and have definatly put on more size in my chest than i think i could with bench.

bro if you need some good *** inspiration go on youtube and search for some of arnolds videos or just bodybuilding vids in general. There are some good ones and when im not feeling up to lifting i watch one of those and its like getting a swift kick in the *** to get to the gym. Everyone goes through the ups and downs in bodybuilding just set a goal for yourself and do what you have to to reach it. If you have a day or a week where you skip out on lifting or dieting, just get back on it. It is normal not to want to eat bland tasting food and lift heavy *** things in a hot gym everyday, that is why bodybuilding is such a non mainstream sport but if you really want it just pick a day, say tomorow and see how long you can go without breaking your lifting routine or eating a cheat meal. Then when you finally take a day off, start over and go longer. Eventually youll see the gains and it will be worth it.
