i run two 12's sealed. Im thinking of drilling a hole aboot 3 inches wide on one side, will that help the performance or make it sound shitty?

if you want to port a sealed box, you will need drill a hole and then install a port.

but you will have to do some math to calculate tuning first

think about what you just asked, think long and hard, and see if it makes any logical sense to you to just have a non-calculated hole, which you are referring to as a "port" with no length, to make your box sound better.

you should drill more than just one 3" hole on each side.

you could just take a smaller drill bit and drill maybe up to 50 holes. that will most likely get you into the Hair trick status.

We have a full part of the forum where people ask for advice / help with their boxes. Why you didn't post this there? I'm not sure. Or why you didn't search, is an even bigger question.

And BTW-- if that's your car in your ava, I wouldn't be too impressed. I pegged my gauge out on my '98 V6 Mustang, 120 @ 4.5K RPM. That's 100 @ 6K rpm.

I'm not impressed whatsoever.

and theres this one indian in my shop who wants his car freely towed
