I got to sit in the crankenstein van the one with the 12-18's at audio thunder back in the day. It was pretty cool they shook the sign off the top of the van and broke the windsheild

i was in ashland ky today where crankenstein was started and seen a billboard for dr. crankenstein... i think they are coming back....just a plain black billboard with the dr. crankenstein logo.. i took a pic with my cell i couldnt believe it.. they have been gone for years then all of a sudden there is a huge billboard for them

i actually live about 10 min from that billboard and thats why i was searching thru this site seeing if yall had any info on them coming back. my brother bought a 10 in a ported box for $45 from a mall dealer about 8 years ago...i had to carry the **** thing, but its somewhere in the basement i think. it was a good sounding little pup from what i remember. -bf

Okay.....I must say...I hate Sony as a company...the only products I like of theirs is Playstation and their digital camcorders.....however...there is one other exception.
The Sony XM-3001SXD....has to be one of the best dollar/watt amps out there. I have been running an Orion HCCA 12D2 into 1 Ohm from this amp for almost two years with no problems....it cost no more than 200 dollars and according to an old AS&S review it puts out these numbers generated playing music and not test tones:

Rated 300 RMS 4 Ohm - Tested 462.25

Rated 600 RMS 2 Ohm - Tested 838.86

Rated 1000 RMS 1 Ohm - Not tested but my guess about 1200-1300

Don't forget that this amp was under $300...and under $200 with a PSP at Best Buy since I worked there.

Aside from these pieces SONY *****!

Yes, Dumbass, their Top of the Line LCD TV's **** as well. Especially their Bravia XBR series. I know mine *****, although it has been ranked as one of the best TV's ever made. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Most of their car audio *****! Most their HT **** is pretty good and the XBR line is hard to beat.

heres a pic of my crankenstin. they are made in my city....somewhere.

didnt have a pop can or a bottle to set beside it but theres a quart jar (pickled corn and beans incase you were wondering)

thing is older than dirt...i hadnt saw it for a few years then found it the other day.

It may have even been louder then my 2 B-52 12's, I was rolling Fat in my 86 Dodge Daytona and Getting Laid every night.
